About

Jessica Chambers, M.D., is an associate program director for the internal medicine residency program. She has served as the night medicine director for both graduate and undergraduate medical education since 2019 and leads the nocturnist service line in the Division of Hospital Medicine.

Chambers is well known for her deep investment in clinical teaching and has won multiple clinician educator awards. She designed and implemented a novel overnight curriculum for both residents and medical students, teaching bedside diagnosis and management. She has presented regionally, nationally and internationally on efforts to create sustainable practices for nocturnist clinicians and how to integrate medical education into overnight hospital work. Her other clinical interests include point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) and mitigating the effects of climate change on human health.

Chambers attended medical school at Texas A&M University and completed her residency in internal medicine at Dell Med. She completed her master’s degree in public health at the University of North Texas with a focus in public health leadership.
